Course Title : ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems

Suitable for:

Managers, Supervisors, Superintendents, who have responsibility for establishing or maintaining an environmental management system, Internal or external consultants who have the responsibility for advising management on issues related to environmental management.

 

Summary:

The course provides delegates with sufficient knowledge of environmental management systems and the requirements of ISO 14001 and the European Eco-management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) to allow them to participate effectively in establishing and auditing such systems. This course has been designed to meet the foundation course requirements of the Environmental Auditors Registration Association (EARA). Environmental Management. Topics include:

> The background to EMAS and key components and the ISO14000 series
> Interfaces between environmental management systems meeting the requirements of EMAS or ISO 14001 and other management systems
> Key steps in establishing an environmental management system
> Environmental auditing, including planning, conduct, reporting and follow-up
> The Environmental Auditors Registration Association
