be exposed to the analytical techniques to study a power system under various types of faults understand faults, their effect and different types of calculations involved with short, medium and long time of these phenomena affecting the power system
be able to assess the design and functionality of protective equipment be familiar with the latest software based approaches to deal with complicated commercial and industrial power systems and their analysis under fault conditions

Dr Mohamed Darwish B.Sc., PhD, MIEE, CEng, MIEEE

Dr Mohamed Darwish is a senior lecturer in Power Electronics and Systems, School of Engineering and Design at a UK University. He has over 20 years experience of research and teaching in the area of Power Electronics and Electric Machines. His research interests include Power Active Filtering techniques, UPS systems and Power Quality issues.

PhD Brunel University, UK 1987
Chartered Engineer
Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
