SUITABLE FOR:

Supervisors and First Line Managers whose jobs involve assessment of suppliers or potential suppliers, those who are involved in third party assessment and certification and those who are responsible for managing the audit function within their organisation. The course has also been found to be very useful for those who are involved in preparing their organisation for assessment by a certification body.

Although no prior knowledge of quality auditing is required, delegates should be familiar with ISO 9000:2000 series of standards.

SUMMARY:

This course aims to give delegates an understanding of the principles of quality assurance and quality system auditing, and to provide practical training in auditing skills using authentic case studies and role playing exercises.The course meets the training requirements of the IQA International Register of Certificated Auditors for Registration as an auditor.

OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

1. Interpret the requirements of ISO 9001 in the context of an audi.

2. Participate effectively as a team member in conducting an audit in accordance with ISO 10011 or its successor ISO 1901.

3. Report the audit and undertake audit follow up activities.

4. Determine whether or not a quality system is effective in achieving it's quality objectives.

Over 17 years experience in the assessment, development and implementation of quality systems and Total Quality initiatives across a broad spectrum of service, engineering, manufacturing, construction, communication and transport related industries. Jeff is a tutor on the GCT Associates Lead Auditor training courses and is an IRCA registered Lead Auditor. Jeff has undertaken quality audit in the Middle East for major certification bodies.
