SUITABLE:

Supervisors and engineers involved in drilling and completion and wishing to improve their knowledge on the subject.

OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the course, delegates will:
  • Understand in detail the different cementing techniques;
  • Understand the cases of: liner, highly deviated wells, gas zone problems contractual regimes;
  • Be able to design a full cementing program for a real classic case.

SUMMARY:

  • Techniques and job procedures: cementing program, cement job design, cementing job simulation
  • Cement and slurries: cement chemistry, special cement system and additives, slurry design methodology, rheology, etc
  • Liner hanger
  • Special cases: gas zone cementing, deviated and horizontal well cementing, remedial techniques
  • Cementing project
  • Control of the cementing job: principles and interpretation of thermometry, sonic, ultrasonic and log analysis
